UFC 139 on Saturday from San Jose

UFC 139 Shogun vs. Henderson will take place on Saturday, November 19th as the light heavyweight bout between Mauricio Rua and Dan Henderson will be for the right to fight for the light heavyweight title and make for an outstanding matchup for MMA bets.

There are four additional bouts on the main card. All five main card fights can be seen on pay per view and Spike TV will televise two preliminary card bouts.

Also on the main card is a middleweight bout between Wanderlei Silva and Cung Le, a bantamweight bout between Urijah Faber and Brian Bowles, a welterweight bout between Martin Kampmann and Rick Story, and a light heavyweight bout between Stephan Bonnar and Kyle Kingsbury.

The Spike TV preliminary bouts will feature a light heavyweight matchup between Ryan Bader and Jason Brilz, and a bantamweight bout between Michael McDonald and Kyle Kingsbury.

Dan Henderson is currently ranked as the top light heavyweight contender in UFC and has a career record with MMA bets of 28-8. Henderson is riding a three bout winning streak and has won 6 of his last 7 bouts overall. Although Henderson has won Pride and Strikeforce titles he has come up short in UFC with title bout losses in the light heavyweight and middleweight divisions. He has been in Strikeforce since April of 2010 and last fought in UFC with a win at UFC 100 over Michael Bisping on July 11, 2009 in a middleweight bout. Henderson is one of the most mentally tough fighters in UFC and is a superb wrestler with a powerful punch from either hand.

Rua has a record of 20-5 and is coming off a win at UFC 134 over Forrest Griffin by knockout at the 1:53 mark of the 1st round on August 27, 2011. It was the 17th knockout win of Rua’s 20 for his career. Rua won the UFC light heavyweight title on May 8, 2010 when he knocked out Lyoto Machida at the 3:35 mark of the first round. He subsequently lost the title belt in his next fight against Jon Jones in a technical knockout on March 19, 2011 in a tough three-round battle. Rua has been in UFC since September 2007 and fought in Pride and IFC before that. Rua is known for his aggressive style in which he backs down to nobody and goes for the kill.
